Following a great luncheon meal, the Lake Butler Rotary Club’s October 15, 2019 meeting began with a prayer by Shane Collins, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a traditional opening song. Art Peterson was asked by President Brad Whitehead to give the Rotarians a new song, so Art lead us in an old folk song, “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”. Many in our group forgot the words to the sing since it was so old. Speaking of songs, Garrett Milton in his “Do You Know”? Question this week asked which song was the most played number on American radio during the 20th Century? The correct answer was, “You’ve lost that Old Lovin’ Feeling:” by Phil Spector, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil that was first recorded by the Righteous Brothers in 1964.
