City of Lake Butler Recognizes October as Fall Beautification Month

Each Spring and Fall, the City of Lake Butler designates a month as “Beautification Month”. These are usually April for Spring, and October for Fall. During the designated Beautification Month, the city will provide the removal of extra trash and debris for city residents at no additional cost to them. This effort is made bi-annually to help improve the community by removing excess trash and even junk cars!

For this year’s Fall Beautification Month of October, the program will last from October 1st through the 31st. Fall is the perfect time to spruce up your home and yard in preparation for winter. Trim the trees and shrubs, and clear any clutter you may have in your shed or garage. Place your leaves and trash items into plastic trash bags and set them curbside. For tree limbs, please cut into lengths no greater than 5 foot, and no greater than 40lbs. Place these curbside as well.

If you have placed items at the curb, please call City Hall at (386) 496-3401 to notify them and they will arrange pickup.
