Bass Tournament as well as the event’s big-fish prize. The duo fished its way to winnings of $15,000 in the three-day event, which was held May 16th-18th in Palatka. More than 1,000 participated. Kite and Owen caught five fish weighing a combined 28.84 pounds (the second-place team’s combined weight was 22.99 pounds). One of their fish (held by Kite in the above photo) proved to be the largest of the tournament at 10.87 pounds. The next-largest fish up for consideration for the prize was 8.5 pounds.
Proceeds from the tournament support the heartsurgery program at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and the new partnership between Wolfson and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
