A great crowd of Rotarians and guests were on hand for the installation of our 2020-2021 elected and appointed Club Officers. Shane Collins was installed Club President, Garrett Milton, as President-elect, Brian Reagan, as Secretary, Sara Owen as Treasurer, and Tyler Kelley as Sergeant at Arms (as shown l-r in the photo below). One new member Jack Schenck was formally recognized and Rotarian Derick Thomas’ transfer becomes effective July 1, 2020.
Our guests included Alexandra Pritchett, Thomas Crawford, Cathryn Reagan, Rotarian Bob Driggers, Anabel Fuss, and Kylie Stevens (our recipient of the annual Lake Butler College Scholarship).
The “Do You Know?’ question that Garrett Milton confessed came from Anabel Fuss asked, “on June 30, 1938, this superhero first appeared in DC Comics”. The correct answer-Superman.
Brad Whitehead provided several items about the Corona Virus effecting Union County. First, our local law enforcement has been under a lot of pressure the past two weeks; Second, UC has 62 confirmed active cases with 31 from the Department of Corrections (DOH has been requested to assist), and third, he highly recommends CDC Safety Guidelines of using masks, maintaining social distance, and frequent hand washing.
