New Faith-Based Nonprofit, Promised Land Family Ministries, to bring Youth Programs to Union County

A brand new nonprofit organization is starting in Union County, and will be bringing programs to the county that will benefit young people and their families. Promised Land Family Ministries is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It was created to provide youth and their families with educational activities and programs that draw them closer to God through His miraculous creation of agriculture and the great outdoors. Promised Land Family Ministries will help develop youth into responsible members of society by providing them with a safe and loving environment with God’s Word as the foundation.

The vision of Promised Land Family Ministries is to be a shining example of faith, hope and love, encouraging youth and families to discover their purpose in Christ. Their mission is to strengthen youth and families through Christ-centered experiences in an agricultural and outdoor setting, creating abundant living that transforms individuals and communities.

The husband and wife team, John and Rebecca Hall, purchased 50 acres of land off of County Road 241 in Providence to be a home for their program. Their ministry is still in the beginning stages, and they are planning to offer some after-school programs as well as weekend events to start off in late spring/summer and fall of 2020. The first program is Farm Life->New Life. This program will be held on their farm in Providence and provide opportunities for youth to learn about God and agriculture. Each scheduled program will offer a different content focus including livestock, gardening, ornamental plants, etc. The Farm Life->New Life Programs will be held weekday afternoons/evenings and select weekends throughout the summer of 2020.

The second program will be Farm Life->School Life. This program will be an after school tutoring program. Participating youth will receive tutoring through hands-on learning in core subject areas and also develop career and life skills. Farm Life->School Life Program will begin in the fall of 2020.

Promised Land Family Ministries third program, Farm Life->Camp Life, will launch in the summer of 2021. This program will be a summer camp program where the youth participants will reside on the farm for a week. Campers will learn about agriculture, leadership and practical life lessons along with Biblical teachings each day.
