At the July 21, 2020 City of Lake Butler City Commission Regular Meeting, the commission first started with the reorganization of Mayor and Vice-Mayor for the year. In a request for nominations for Mayor, Commissioner Jimmy Beasley made nomination for Commissioner Jack Schenck to be appointed Mayor. This nomination was seconded, and the motion passed the Commission unanimously. Next up was the nomination for Vice-Mayor in which Commissioner David Stegall made the nomination for Commissioner Annette Redman to be the Vice-Mayor. This nomination was seconded by Commissioner Beasley and the motion passed the Commission unanimously. Effective as of Tuesday, July 21, 2020, the Mayor of the City of Lake Butler is Jack Schenck and the Vice-Mayor is Annette Redman.
