On Wednesday morning, 12-9-20, approximately 180 3rd Graders in the Lake Butler Elementary School cafeteria received new dictionaries from the Lake Butler Rotarians. This dictionary presentation to 3rd Graders has been an annual Rotary project under the Rotary International “literacy category”for many years. The Lake Butler Rotarians that were able to attend this 9:00 am presentation included Shane Collins, Brian Reagan, Tyler Kelley, David Beatty, Brad Whitehead, Jennie Reed, Mitchell Bishop, and Ted Barber. The students were instructed on how to use their new dictionaries by Shane Collins, Club President, he also provided some history concerning Rotary and related our Club to the management of our annual 4th of July celebrations, and other community projects to include the annual dictionary presentations. The students were told the dictionaries were theirs by Brian Reagan, Club Secretary. On behalf of the Lake Butler Elementary School, Linda Mcghghy, Assistant Principal thanked all the Rotarians for their presence and community service.
