An update on court operations in Union County from Judge Bishop:
Recently, the Florida Supreme Court issued an administrative order modifying the safety precautions for entry into courthouses. The Chief Judge of the Eighth Circuit has issued an administrative order implementing those modifications in Eighth Circuit courthouses. Effective immediately,
- Screening questions and temperature check are no longer required to enter the courthouse, and
- Face masks and physical distancing are required for in-person court proceedings only in a courtroom or hearing room. Face masks and physical distancing are no longer required for entry into the courthouse, in the hallways, or in other public areas of the courthouse.
We anticipate further guidance from the Florida Supreme Court as we move closer to normal operations.
- Judge Bishop, Judge Groeb, and Judge Kreider
