Last weekend, 37 members traveled to Orlando to represent Union County High School at the Florida Future Business Leaders of Amercia State Leadership Conference. Students competed in 24 different events as well as attend leadership workshops and network with other FBLA members from across the state. The chapter was recognized on stage at the opening session for their donations to the March of Dimes earlier this year.
Derrick Searcy campaigned and was elected to serve as the Region II State Vice President for the upcoming year. Gary Thornton, Sophomore, placed 1st in Client Service. Delaney Sweat, Sophomore, placed 3rd in Impromptu Speaking. Kasie Murphy, Junior, placed 3rd in Electronic Career Portfolio. All four members will represent UCHS and Florida at the National Leadership Conference this summer in San Antonio, Texas. The group is led by adviser, Krystal Gainey.
